Need a technical communication intern in Madison, WI?

A member of the STC 4 Lakes chapter is looking for a paid (or unpaid) internship in technical communication this Fall. This person is an English major, almost finished with a Technical Communication certificate (minor), and has lots of great experience in document writing, editing, management, and so on. This person has a biology background as well, and would specifically like to work with manuals or procedures documentation.

Networking Event: J.T. Whitney’s; August 27th from 4:30 – 6:30

Hi Everyone,

The STC 4 Lakes Board has decided to try a new type of chapter event for August. Please join us for a networking event/happy hour at J.T. Whitney’s Pub and Brewery on Whitney Way in Madison.  

The STC 4 Lakes chapter will provide one free drink coupon per chapter member and we’ll also have plenty of appetizers for all.

Who: All STC 4 Lakes members and non-members alike

What: Networking event/happy hour

Where: J.T. Whitney’s in Madison (674 S. Whitney Way – Madison, WI 53711)

When: Wednesday, August 27th from 4:30 to 6:30 (ish)

Why: Networking! Get to know other technical communicators in the area.

How do I RSVP?  Simply post a comment to this very blog entry (click the ‘Comments’ text in the lower, right-hand corner of this blog entry). When you RSVP, all you have to do is indicate your first name. However, feel free to just show up too if you cannot RSVP or do not know if you can make it yet. We just want an estimate as to how much food and drink we’ll need to provide. Thanks!
